Upcoming Events and Classes

Need a speaker for an upcoming event such as a garden club meeting, corporate "Lunch & Learn," or networking event? Contact me to discuss possible topics, or to design a custom presentation for your group! Gardening is a wonderful metaphor for change, growth, and resilience. Plus it's just darn fun!

Fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides — what are they, how to they work, and what effective, low-toxic alternatives exist for the home gardener?

Join Tisa Watts, the Columbus Garden Coach, to learn about FERTILIZERS for different plants and purposes. We’ll discuss common garden DISEASES like powdery mildew and tomato blight. Some insect PESTS we’ll review include Japanese beetles, leaf miners, and aphids. WEEDS are a fact of gardening, but learn how you can get them under control. Learn how IPM (Integrated Pest Management) can help you control today’s garden problems using a variety of tools and techniques — and avoid problems in the future!

This class is a basic, science-based introduction for the home gardener. Each attendee will receive the tools and resources needed to create your own customized plan for garden pest control and fertilization!
